Cathedral Connections

Our Ministry

Cathedral Connections partners with parishioners who want to create ministries that foster a sense of belonging and connection in the parish. The group meets as needed when a ministry suggestion is brought forward. If interested in developing a new ministry with this focus, please contact grcathedralconnections@gmail.com

Newcomers Ministry

Members of the Newcomers Ministry reach out to newly registered parishioners in the following ways.

  • Monthly welcome calls
    Volunteers reach out to 3-5 Newcomers each month. 15-30 minutes per month commitment.
  • Invitation calls
    Invite new parishioners to Cathedral celebrations for the first year of their membership: time commitment approximately 15 minutes for each event.
  • The Newcomers Mingle
    This is a quarterly social event to connect with newcomers. Volunteers bring light refreshments and mingle. Time commitment is approximately 2 hours quarterly.

Card Ministry

Volunteers write cards to homebound and sick parishioners, sympathy cards to families of those whose funeral has been held at the Cathedral, congratulation cards to those just married, and welcome cards to new parishioners.
