At the Cathedral, our St. Vincent de Paul conference is made up of lay people who help us meet the needs of those in our parish or community. They help us determine the best use of charitable funds received through our monthly Joy of the Gospel collection.
Who do we serve?
In pairs, we visit neighbors who request assistance and provide both material and spiritual aid, as well as connect them with critical resources. Most of the individuals and families we help are very low-income or homeless, and they rely on St. Vincent for financial assistance in paying utility bills, rent, and other expenses to avoid eviction and utility shut-offs.
Getting involved in our St. Vincent de Paul conference allows our volunteers to serve people in concrete ways, making a real difference in their lives, one individual or family at a time.
