The Community Outreach team is focused on creating opportunities for fellow parishioners to minister outside our church walls, to our neighboring communities and beyond.
Our planning committee meets on the first Saturday of each month at 9:30 a.m. in the Ambrosia Room to plan programs and events. The following are a few programs and events that our team plans, directs, and participates in.
Diaper Drives
Twice each year, we ask parishioners to donate diapers, wipes, and other infant and toddler needs to St. Gianna’s No Cost Baby Boutique, run by Catholic Charities.
Each year, we encourage Cathedral parishioners to donate and participate in collecting nonperishable food to support our local food pantry at Westminster Presbyterian Church. We also participate in the Walk for Good Food in the spring and the Sharing the Bounty Walk in the fall.
We give hope and encouragement to prisoners by writing monthly cards or letters. It is safe and easy. You do not use your last name or home address. Any responses from prisoners are sent to the Cards for Prisoners P.O. Box. They are screened before being forwarded to you.

Funding
Our Community Outreach is funded by our general offertory and partly through our Joy of the Gospel Fund.
