Religious education is the process by which we pass on the Christian faith to future generations. It is the “essential ministry of the Church through which the teachings of Christ have been passed on to believers throughout the ages.
Children K-6
Parish Religious Education for K-6 grade children takes place on Sunday mornings. Additional classes to prepare for First Holy Communion also take place on Sunday mornings.
Children, ages 5-12, are invited to participate during the 10:00 a.m. Mass the first or second Sunday of the month.
The children go to the chapel during the Liturgy of the Word to learn about the readings using stories, songs, and activities.
If you are interested in passing your faith to the next generation, we provide the training. Contact our parish office: office@grcathedral.org
Youth
Youth Group (7-12th grade) takes place on Wednesday evenings. Special preparation for Confirmation also takes place during that time. Parent/Youth sharing nights happen once a month.
