PILGRIM ICON VISITS THE CATHEDRAL.
HOLY HOUR, MAY 26.
Our Knights of Columbus Council #16199 has the privilege of hosting the Pilgrim Icon of the Sacred Heart of Jesus at the Cathedral through the month of May, located in the Chapel.
The icon features the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, based on the well-known 1767 painting by Pompeo Batoni, venerated in the Church of the Gesù in Rome. This reproduction bears the blessing of Pope Francis and is one of more than 300 icons traveling worldwide.
The Knights of Columbus council invites you to a Sacred Heart of Jesus Holy Hour on Tuesday, May 26, from 7:00–8:00 p.m. in the Cathedral.
As the U.S. bishops prepare to consecrate our nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 11, we will gather for Scripture, reflections from Pope Francis, the Divine Mercy Chaplet, prayers to the Sacred Heart, and time for silent prayer. All are welcome.
