All Saints-All Souls

SOLEMNITY OF ALL SAINTS
This year we celebrate All Saints at all of the Masses on Sunday, November 1.
All Saints is dedicated to all who have entered heaven, including the saints recognized by the Church and those not.

ALL SOULS (The Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed) is Monday, Nov. 2, and will be celebrated at our daily Masses (7am & 12:05pm). We will be remembering our dearly departed parishioners from this past year throughout all of November with a special banner of names.

ALL SOULS REMEMBRANCE SERVICE
Pray for all the faithful departed with a special Remembrance Service on Monday, November 2, at 7pm. Women of the Cathedral Choir will lead sung Evening Prayer, accompanied by the 5:30 Mass instrumental ensemble. The service will feature contemplative music, candlelight, and quiet moments of reflection.

BOOK OF THE DEAD
As always, during the month of November we make available the Book of the Dead for you to write the names of your departed loved ones. The names in the book will be remembered at Masses throughout November.

DIA DE LOS MUERTOS
Our Hispanic community is celebrating Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) and the Youth Group will build a traditional altar where pictures of loved ones who have died will be placed along with other items in remembrance.  All are invited to participate. Please be sure to put your name and phone number on any item you place on the altar.
