Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as children of God; we become members of Christ and are incorporated into the Church.
Congratulations on the birth of your child. To schedule your baptism preparation class and child’s baptism, call our parish office. It is best to schedule two months in advance.
School-Age Baptism
If your child is school-age and you wish to have him or her baptized, your first step is to call the parish office and enroll them in our religious education program. You and your child will be enrolled in a special baptism preparation class.
Adult Baptism
Adults receive baptism through our Order of Christian Initiation for Adults program (OCIA). To join OCIA, contact Sean Donovan, our adult faith formation director.
Infant and Child Baptism
To schedule an infant or pre-K baptism, contact Eliana Gonzalez, our community life coordinator.
To register your child in K-6 Religious Education or Youth Group (7-12) or to prepare for sacraments, contact our parish office: 616.456.1454 x1909 office@grcathedral.org
