Marriage

Marriage as a Sacrament

Scripture often refers to marriage, its origin and purpose, the meaning God gave to it, and its renewal in the covenant made by Jesus with his Church. Man and woman were created for each other.

Congratulations on Your Engagement!

Your witness of love for each other is a wonderful gift from God. At the Cathedral of Saint Andrew, we look forward to assisting you in your planning and preparation to receive the Sacrament of Matrimony.

Marriage Preparation

Six months is the minimum time to ensure sufficient and proper preparation for the Sacrament of Marriage. It is recommended that you reach out to your priest or local Catholic Church to begin the process as soon as you can, which includes registering for a marriage prep retreat.
